It has been a good week thus far. I am now on a five day a week workout plan. I run (run/walk rather), Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on Tuesday and Thursday I do a thirty minute full body workout.
The thirty minute workout can be as intense as you want it to be. The first time I did it, this past Tuesday, I could barely lift my arms and my legs were shaking when I was done. It actually felt quite good!
Monday I ran/walked 1.7 miles. Sorry to say more walking than running, but I sped up the treadmill and increased the incline. Wednesday I ran/walked 1.9 miles, where I ran at least half the time. I was tired inbetween run/walks, but not as much as on Monday. It actually felt pretty awesome. The human body is quite amazing. How well it can improve, even after just a couple days.

So, I have lost 4 pounds! It was really nice to see at least something coming off…finally.
My friend Kevin, who I mentioned in a post a couple weeks ago, sent me the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. It was pretty eye opening. If you get a chance, throw it in your NetFlix queue.
Way to go!
John, great to hear you are back! I was worried about you.
It won’t be long and you’ll be back and ahead of where you left off. Keep up the hard work.
So glad to see you are back! I enjoy following you on your journey and wanted to say I really do admire your courage! It is hard to start a program but it’s harder still to get back in and try again. Way to go!
I highly recommend Weight Watchers. I’ve been a member for 8+ years. I took off over 70 lbs & have kept it off because I stayed with it even after I lost the weight. Give it a shot.
The great thing about running is you can always come back to it even after “a break”. It can be frustrating when re-starting but I’m sure you’ve found out, your legs still remember how to move.
Best of luck to you my fellow runner & I look forward to reading more great things from you. Have an AWESOME day!
